Ahhh...the Joy of Christmas

When I was young, I used to spend Christmas Eve at my grandma's house in Orem. Each year, my family would make the looong trek to her house. On the way, both to and from her house, we listened to my parent's favorite radio station...KISN 97.1. I always laughed each time one certain song came on...maybe you've heard it...it's a spin off on "The Twelve Days of Christmas." You know the one--the child who wants a Transformer for Christmas at the beginning of the song and is crying loudly by the end of it. (If you have children, you have been embarrassed by your own child doing this at the store.)
Well, this year this song speaks to me, but not just any part of the song. You know the man who kindly sings that he is "putting up the lights" at the beginning and cursing that same string of lights by the end? Yep...that's me. I have had a MESS at my house for weeks in an effort to decorate every room of my house for Christmas Home Tour. I have had enough lights, snowmen, santas, reindeer, bows, wire for bows, ornaments, broken ornaments, tree limbs that won't light up, and so on. I am "HO-HO-HO'd" right out.
BUT...my house does look very nice. So, stop by and check it out. And, don't worry, it took me so much effort to put it up that if you can't stop by until March or April, it might still be up.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
