I had the best weekend and I just had to share it with my ENTIRE readership (you lucky 4 people).
- On Friday, I was offered my dream job in education...I will be teaching 4th grade advanced students starting in the fall!!! I am so excited about this. I have really enjoyed the school and the faculty, especially the principal, and am pleased that I will remain there.
- Rick and I are going on vacation in May. Because of our flight times, I thought that I would not be able to "walk" on my graduation day. I found out that I was wrong. YES! I am now going to be able to attend my commencement ceremony followed by a fantastic trip to New Zealand. How great is that?
- There is actually visible progress in my basement. If you have ever lived in a "Disaster Clean-Up Zone" you will understand how important it is to see progress. A light at the end of the tunnel. A message that says, "You don't have to kill your husband or your dad for sawing wood inside the house. They'll be done soon."

It is great too that you will be able to finalize all of your hard work with a walk at your commencement! And how cool is it that you are going to New Zealand??? Why don't you take me instead of Rick??

YAY!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! THis is so exciting!! I am so glad you get to walk and then follow that with an amazing vacation and then come home to your DREAM JOB!! Good for you!! you deserve it all! I am so happy for you! And as for your basement.....well I can't wait for the first shin dig in the new basement!! Congrats on everything!!
Wow Congrats! ive been thinking of being a school teacher when all my kids are in school and you just made me relize that there are some good experiences. Im glad you like the school and the people you will work with cause in my opinion that is the most important thing. i totaly agree with Deanna about you being a writer i would definately buy you stuff. Good luck on your basement good to know its coming along. And what is up with all these awesome vacations people are going on. I want so bad to go some where exciting and interesting. Yay for you!!!
Plus you have less than a month to go with student teaching! You can make it. I'm jealous of the NZ trip. Whoa! Chance of a lifetime.

You are just amazing and I am sooooo happy that you got that job! You are truly an inspiration to anyone who doesn't think they can get their degree with a job, a hubby, and kiddos in tow:-) How long will you be in New Zealand? Long enough to get hitched?!!! I'm hoping...then we can throw you one slammin' party when you get back. I love ya and am so glad you are going to be doing what you love. Talk to ya soon!
