I had to take a break from New Zealand to post about my mom's incredible dinner. Last night, my mom hosted a dinner for my graduation. The table was decorated in Weber State's colors--Purple and White. I wish I had taken a picture of it. We had a delicious dinner followed by an incredible dessert of fresh berries, angel food cake, reduced red wine sauce and whipped cream. It was delectible!
The best thing about the night, aside from the incredible bottle of wine my parents gave me and the gorgeous bracelet Rick's sister gave me, was that I was able to celebrate with my entire family--my side and Rick's side. It was such an incredible feeling to look around the table and see all the people who have loved and supported me through my more-than-a-decade-long school experience. It was so meaningful that each person there had taken the time to celebrate my accomplishment with me. I am also thrilled that both sides of my family were able to spend some time together and become better acquainted. I look forward to more dinners--especially if I don't have to cook. :)
